Michael Greene, President/CEO of Artist Tribe LLC and Chairman of Business Development, in-house composer and studio partner at Hubbard/Geiss Music, is a veteran of the Entertainment, Fine Arts, Communications and Media Development industries.

In 1986 Greene served as the
Chairman of National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), better known to the public as the organization that owns and produces the Grammy Awards. In 1988 Greene was named as the organization’s first President/CEO of NARAS and served as CEO for 14 years. Under Greene’s leadership the organization built 12 fully staffed regional offices and expanded internationally by launching the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Greene increased revenue for the Academy and its Foundations by 30 fold during his Presidency.

The Musicares Foundation was founded by Greene to provide financial grants, substance abuse intervention, treatment and educational programs to music professionals in need. Musicares has distributed well over 17 million dollars to at-risk music professionals since it’s’ inception. As President of Musicares, Greene was also the National spokesperson for the National Association of Music Therapists.

The
son of a Big Band leader, Greene began his career as a recording artist/songwriter with Warner Brothers, Mercury and GRC Recording companies. Next, as a producer and President of Apogee Studios working with artists such as Lionel Richie, Kenny Loggins, Sammy Hagar, Kansas, among others. Greene also managed 5 music publishing companies with over 5,000 titles. Greene has been inducted into the prestigious Georgia Music Hall of Fame, receiving the coveted Georgy award as a crowning achievement for select individuals honoring their careers in, and contributions to music.

Greene founded Artist Tribe, LLC in 2002 and currently serves as its’ President and CEO. AT is an innovation enterprise which houses seven operating divisions serving artists, consumers and the cultural community at large. AT, along with its technical partners IBM/Infosys is building internet enterprises to aggregate and empower the world-wide creative community; connecting this broad spectrum of creative people with their peers, customers, organizational partners, suppliers and fans through MYMUSE.COM and ARTISTTRIBE.COM. The Artist Tribe Foundation is involved in the field of Arts Mentoring, Education, Arts & Wellness and production of culturally significant documentaries. Greene has also served as a web2.0 spokesperson for IBM.
